In April and May of 2007 our group conducted a geophysical survey in Bath Nature Preserve at the site known as Round Top. |
The area in which we conducted our survey is temporally undefined. However, within a 6.5km area of the site the majority of what has been found has been dated to the Archaic period with the Woodland a close second(9-8). Based on this fact and further investigation regarding post molds, this site could potentially be Woodland placing it at the time of occupation of the Hopewell and Adena. |

These people were known as hunters and gatherers who set up camp near bodies of water. Groups such as the Adena, Hopewell, and the Gravel Kame Indians frequented these areas. |
