Task

Task The following are task descriptions of each job. The teacher will assign a job to each group member. Be sure to read your job description carefully.
Job 1: Research the Artist	Look up information in the school library, the public library, and/or in the books and magazines provided in class about the artist's life. Write a 1-2 page biography essay about the artist. Be sure to include a birthdate, a few interesting aspects in the artist's life, and a death date (and the cause of death). If the artist is still living, include where he/she currently resides.
Job 2: Critique the Picture	Look up information in the school library, the public library, and/or in the books and magazines provided in class about the specific piece of artwork you were assigned. Be sure to know the correct title, year, and artist's name when looking up the picture. Write a 1-2 page critique essay describing the artwork and explain the painting technique the artist used to create it.
Job 3: Write the Intro & Conclusion, & Make a PowerPoint	The biography essay and the critique essay are to be handed in as one whole-group research paper, but first an introduction paragraph and conclusion paragraph must be written to tie the two essays together. Next, a small Powerpoint presentation must be made that touches on the main points in your research paper. Make the presentation no more than eight frames in length including the title page and credits page.
