Andy Dolson Band
With the recent release of his debut EP Tide, Andy Dolson is a rising star in the northeast Ohio music scene. The Stow native and his band have developed a solid following with high-energy and interactive performances. Dolson describes his music as "a combination of guitar-driven rock, melodic hooks, and reflective lyrics drawing influences from rock, jazz, and folk."
After eight months of playing anywhere and everywhere, Dolson lraveled to Nashville in August of 2005 to record Tide. Appearing on the record with Dolson are Paul Eckberg, former touring drummer for Amy Grant, and Aaron Sands, recording and touring bassist for Jars of Clay.
Returning to Ohio, Dolson began performing with his newly formed backing band, and together they are making an impact both on and off stage. Dolson and members of his band have been active in helping with underprivileged youth both here and abroad. They are also part of a community organization that is currently helping the effort to rebuild homes of hurricane victims. "I believe we have a responsibility to serve humankind with our music and our abilities as best we can," Dolson said.
