Narayanan Radhakrishnan is a Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Polymer Science, University of Akron. He obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Polymer Engineering from Madras University, Chennai, India in April 2000. He finished his M.Sc. in Applied Polymer Science at Martin Luther University, Halle, Germany in June 2004. He worked in the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden in Germany for his PhD in Polymer Chemistry under Prof. Brigitte Voit and obtained his degree with Magna Cum Laude from the Technical University of Dresden in December 2007. He joined the Puskas group in Aug 2008 as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
His research interests include the synthesis of arborescent polyisoprene using industry-friendly emulsion conditions, biomimetic carbocationic polymerizations, and the carbocationic polymerization of isobutylene to yield oligomer PIBs, within the framework of the NSF GOALI project.
