PhD studentships ($22,000 to $27,000 per year) are available.

1) Simulation of conductivity in molecular semiconductors and semiconducting polymers

2) Modeling biomineralization and interactions of peptides with biominerals

Background

Candidates should have a first or upper second class degree (or equivalent) in chemical/biomedical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or condensed matter physics. Familiarity with at least one programming language and previous experience in a research project would be a plus.

Application Procedure

Please review the admission requirements (academic performance, TOEFL, GRE, CV, 2 references) at http://www.poly-eng.uakron.edu/grad_requirements.htm and submit your complete application on-line.
