Procedure:

(5 minutes)  Introduce the activity by telling the story that goes along with The Old Gray Cat.

(15 minutes)  Have the students to open their books to The Old Gray Cat.  Teach the mallet parts to the entire class, having some students play instruments and the others practice on their laps.  Rehearse the instrumental parts as a large group, as well as in small groups.
