Dr. Zywicki has an opening for a graduate research assistant starting in the Fall 2007 or until the position is filled. His research program is an interdisciplinary approach that combines aspects of dynamic material characterization, sensor systems and information systems to model and analyze Civil Engineering systems. Current projects of interest and requirements for graduate student researchers include:

• Mathematical and geophysical modeling of the near-surface earth
• Green’s functions and inverse problems
• Strong background and interest in mathematics and linear algebra
• Interest in geophysics and wave propagation
