Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA)
The CFA is a globally recognized standard for measuring the competency
and integrity of financial analyst. Certified by the Association for Investment
Management and Research (AIMR), three levels of examination measure a candidate's
ability to apply economic and finance principles at a professional level.
The CFA exam is provided annually in more than 70 nations worldwide.

process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's
total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial
goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to

in the financial services industry with in-depth knowledge of the skills
needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients. To
earn the ChFC designation, students must complete ten courses--nine required
and one elective. Students in the ChFC program are encouraged to take HS
318 (Insurance and Financial Planning) as their first course. HS 332 (Financial
Planning Applications), the capstone course, should conclude the ChFC studies

Leadership Fellow (CLF)
The Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) – granted jointly by The American
College, LIMRA International, and GAMA International – is the first managerial
leadership designation created specifically for financial services professionals.
Based upon the premise that managers need educational emphasis in interpersonal
relationships, leadership, and organization, the CLF curriculum – developed
by The American College management faculty and LIMRA and GAMA trainers,
with the assistance of a practitioner advisory committee – provides you
with the most contemporary thinking on the principles of management and
leadership. The CLF program blends classroom skills training with a proven
distance education self-study approach.

Life Underwriter (CLU)
The CLU designation is the undisputed professional credential for
persons involved in the protection, accumulation, preservation, and distribution
of the economic values of human life. The CLU program provides insights
into the life insurance business, its importance to the economy, its operation

To encourage students to take advanced courses in subject areas
of particular interest, several certificates of concentration are available.
The certificates, awarded upon completion of three or four related three-credit

may be applied toward the MSFS and/or MSM degree requirements if the student

of Science in Financial Services (MSFS)
The Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) degree program
is the premier educational experience for those financial services professionals
whose goal is to maintain the highest level of technical knowledge and
practical application in serving their clients. It is designed to permit
professionals to keep current in a particular area or to pursue knowledge
encompassing all aspects of financial planning. The program comprises a
sequence of courses designed to provide maximum study flexibility for the
student through self-study and two one-week residency sessions on the College's
campus. Each course in the program is technically current and complete

The RHU designation signifies that an individual working in the
traditional health insurance marketplace or in the managed care industry
has successfully completed a rigorous three-course program. In addition,
students also must meet specified experience requirements, maintain ethical

Ethics and Procedures and applicable continuing education requirements.
