Course Description:

Studies flow of funds. Analyzes major financial intermediaries.
Money and capital markets reviewed with emphasis on interest rates and
their impact upon administration of specific financial institutions.

You are expected to attend every scheduled class,
to be prepared for class, and to participate in the classroom discussion.
If you cannot attend class, please call the office or send me an email
at ddurst@uakron.edu.
Exams:

*Exams may be objective (true/false and multiple
choice, etc.). problems, and essays. Make-up exams are given only in special
cases where arranged with the instructor prior to the scheduled exam. The
exams are closely related to class presentations and the textbook.
Withdrawals:
-
Professor Durst will approve withdrawals until the
end of the 8th week of this course. No Withdrawals will be approved
after the 8th week of the term or after the second exam. All withdrawal
forms must be processed through the Registrar's Office immediately.
Calculator:
-
It is important to have a calculator which will calculate
bond yields, such as the BA-II Plus, or Sharp EL 733, or HP 10-B II.
Please bring books to class
every day. I reference the textbooks quite often. All assignments must
be completed for successful completion of the course.
