Welcome to Dr. Durst's Web site! Dr. David Durst is a professor of Finance at the
University of Akron. He received his undergraduate economics degree from
Kent State University and MBA and Doctor of Business Administration degrees
in Finance from Georgia State University. Dr. Durst teaches a variety of
managerial finance and financial markets classes at the undergraduate and
graduate level. He is an educational consultant and lecturer to many professional
associations and actively involved in internet and distant learning activities.
He is the author of Bank Financial Decision Analysis for LOTUS 1-2-3, and
several textbook educational study guides and software packages. He is
a frequent lecturer in management development programs. He is a member
of Delta Sigma Pi and Omicron Delta Kappa and has served as faculty advisor
to Delta Tau Delta, the Financial Management Association, and the FMA Honor
Society. Married with two grown daughters, his hobbies include gardening,
fishing, and reading.
