Dr. B. S. Vijayaraman

Dr. Vijayaraman is a Professor of MIS and Director of Center for IT and eBusiness at The University of Akron.  Dr. Vijay has been teaching since 1984 and has been a faculty member at The University of Akron since 1989.  He has an M. S. in Mathematics from Bangalore University in India, M. S. and Ph. D. in Business Administration and Information Systems from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Vijayaraman teaches undergraduate and graduate courses primarily in the areas of Management Information Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, and eBusiness. His research interest include Curriculum Issues in Information Systems, Impact of Information Technology in Organizations, RFID, and eCommerce/eBusiness. He has published more than 25 refereed journal articles and more than 50 refereed proceeding papers at international, national, and regional conferences.  He has also co-authored a textbook titled "Problem Solving with Microsoft Excel for Windows 95."

Dr. Vijayaraman has conducted many training workshops related to Personal Computers and eCommerce/eBusiness.  He has designed and developed Website for the College of Business and several other academic units at the University. He served as a webmaster for the College of Business Administration from 1995 to 1999.
