Monday - Friday: 7 AM - 4 PM (Lunch 1:00-2:00) - I usually swim during my lunch hour

Hierarchy

The University of Akron | VP for Information Technology | Webteam | Web Developer

Responsibilities

• Second tier computer support focused on web and anything vaguely unusual.
• Training and Support for Web Editor
• Evaluation of software
• Discussion list manager
• Survey admin
• General web page repair, updates, conversions, etc.
• Keeping track of freaking everything.
• Other duties as required (this one's the killer)

Notes

7 AM to 4 PM is sort of "-ish". I may come in a little earlier or a little later and leave at a corresponding time.

On rare occasions I've come in late, taken a long lunch, and left early - completing the "work avoidance tri-fecta"

Notice that, as a web developer, I'm so low on the totem pole I might actually be underground. Which might not be a bad thing.

I look at my job as that of a "web plumber", without the ill-fitting pants. I do a little bit of whatever is needed, whenever it's needed. In general, the webteam is really all about "everything all at once" and "everything is top priority". We're seriously productive, but sometimes it can wear a body out.

I decided to make up my own cards instead of going with the University standard - I didn't think I'd be able to use the title that I wanted.
